The Compositing department is divided into two work areas: Film and Advertising. Both areas are thoroughly differentiated in terms of the workflow and the talent that manages them.
Dave Burton, in charge of the advertising compositing department. Dave, a painters’ son, settled in Spain 30 years ago; he studied history of art and is also a practising photographer. Dave began his career in Molinare (UK), from where he moved to Madrid later to establish the first Flame and Smoke departments in Spain. He currently gives lectures on optical and digital imagery and compositing at various universities and schools. He is also a beta tester of Autodesk Flame and participates in various international forums on this very platform.
Ferrán Piquer. Supervisor of VFX in the film department and recent winner of 2 Goyas (the Spanish equivalent of the Academy Award), Ferrán is one of the main references in sector in Spain, with over 40 films as effects supervisor, both live action and animation. Some of the most renowned Spanish directors, such as Álex de la Iglesia and Javier Fesser, count on his supervision skills. He undertook his first projects in New York, so he speaks English as well.
